When big-city florist Hatta McFarlane reluctantly agrees to a camping trip in Oregon’s Tillamook State Forest, she expects insects, no hot water and no Wi-Fi, not murder. After the campground’s deranged employee Norm Buell is found dead the remote campground is locked down and every camper becomes a suspect. While the handsome but skeptical Deputy Travis Holt investigates, Hatta can’t resist asking questions. When Hatta discovers a threatening message scratched in the dirt she realizes she may be the next victim in the deep woods.

THE OTHERS (working title)

I've been pretty busy this past year and haven't done much writing since I published my last book, Pioneering Secrets.

I've started a new novel about a PhD student working on a dissertation about folklore and the modern world. As he travels the country meeting different people and hearing about local legends, he slowly evolves from skeptic into open-minded believer. It doesn't take him long to realize the stories he's researching are leading him into darker territory, and dangers he hadn't anticipated.

This book should be out sometime this year. Sorry I don't have a more definite timeline, but I'll keep you updated as it gets closer to completion.

Book 4 in the Elemental Series

Nearly two years after publishing the 3rd book in my Elemental series, I've started working on number four. This book will continue the adventures of Raya Salian and her friends as she journeys throughout the universe exploring new galaxies. I've only just started writing this book and do not have a title for it yet. More details will come as I have updates for you.

When a new threat arises from an unexpected place, Raya finds herself on the run from agents bent on imprisoning her for crimes she has yet to commit. In a striking turn of events, her friends are the ones who must now come to her rescue and protect the future of their home world.

AUTHOR TIP #1

BOOK TITLE GENERATOR

The right book title can be just as important as the cover and book description. The wrong title can turn readers off before they even pick your book up. Sudowrite offers a free title generator that can make your choice easier.

Corbin Nash has a face the bounty boards can’t stop broadcasting, a wallet that’s always empty, and a knack for making enemies in every spaceport he lands. His ride—the Betsy Loo—is a rust-bucket patched together with duct tape, bad ideas, and blind luck. She’s overdue for an inspection by about a decade… and her reactor’s threatening to take them both out in a blaze of unpaid docking fees.

With his ship falling apart beneath him and his debts catching up, Corbin Nash has one last play: survive re-entry, dodge the bounty hunters, and hustle his way into a new ride before someone nails him to a bar wall.

AUTHOR TIP #2

HIGH FANTASY VS LOW FANTASY

Fantasy is one of the fastest-rising genres. Get tips here on how to write a compelling fantasy book or series that will keep your readers coming back for more.

One short presentation at her Dallas high school — that’s all Finley knew about sex trafficking. She and her volleyball teammates talked about it for twenty minutes. An unimaginable world, far from their own. Then they forgot about it; they had games to win.

Now Finley is beyond imagining. Renamed Amber, she’s added to the other girls — boxed like jewels, stripped of their stories. Her sunset-orange hair keeps her in constant demand. The longer she stays, the harder it is to believe she ever had a choice.

AUTHOR TIP #3

WRITING THIRD-PERSON OMNISCIENT

With so many point-of-views available, third-person omniscient can be an effective narrative style.

The Graisseville food pantry burns to the ground and everyone is heartbroken—but when a body is discovered in the ashes, the mood shifts. Is there a killer loose in their small town? For Evangeline Delafose, it’s more than just a tragedy. It’s personal. And just as the investigation begins to heat up, in rolls Ro Bergeron—the cousin Ev has never met, armed with three dogs, a sharp wit, and mad sleuthing skills of her own.

BOOK SUMMARIES THAT SHINE

I can craft a compelling back cover summary for your book that will captivate readers and inspire them to make a purchase. Drawing on years of professional copywriting expertise, I am dedicated to helping you connect with potential book buyers.

Whether you need your existing back cover refreshed or a brand-new summary written from scratch, reach out to discover how you can benefit from this valuable service, offered at affordable rates and with quick turnaround times.
